March 2018

Happy March!  As of the 1st of the month, we have 61 school days left in the 2017-2018 school year.  Time certainly passes quickly.  After a long winter, I hope everyone is eagerly awaiting the warmer days of spring.  I am sure our students are looking forward to getting outside on a consistent basis.

I would like to personally invite everyone to visit one of our famous fish frys during the Lenten Season.  We always have large crowds and great food.  Make an evening out of it by bringing family and friends with you.  Our fish frys will take place every Friday in March except March 23rd and 30th.  Dinners are served from 4:30 to 7:30pm.

Registration is now taking place for the 2018-2019 school year.  Please contact our school (219-845-6226) if you have questions or would like to set up a tour.  Consider becoming part of the St. John Bosco School family for next school year!

Lastly, with spring right around the corner, it is our job as parents and educators to keep our children focused on learning.  First, attendance must be a priority.  Children must be in school.  Secondly, show you care.  Talk about school activities, projects, and homework assignments with your children.  Finally, keep it upbeat.  Try to set a positive example for your children even when your own day has been tough.  Positive attitudes are contagious.

God Bless,

Mark Kielbania, Principal
